Nonwovens are an important part of technical textiles, and with their superior performance, they have become key materials in the fields of healthcare, home life, environmental protection, geotechnical construction, industrial production, transportation, energy, agriculture, etc. On 19 September, the 12th China International Nonwovens Conference (CINC2024) was held during the CINTE 2024 to discuss the paths and action plans for developing new quality and productivity of nonwovens path.

Li Lingshen, vice president of China National Textile & Apparel Council, said that China's nonwovens industry has shown strong resilience. He said that at present China's nonwovens industry is in the key period of transforming the development momentum and innovating the development mode, and he suggested to promote the high-quality development of the industry from the following four aspects: firstly, adhere to the scientific and technological innovation, and enhance the core competitiveness of the industry; secondly, accelerate the industrial innovation, and promote the upgrading and transformation of the industry; thirdly, accelerate the green transformation, and actively fulfil the social responsibility; and fourthly, advocate the rational competition, and build a healthy industrial ecosystem.

Wen Ting, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Ltd, said in her speech that as a sub-show of Techtextil brand in Asia, CINTE strongly supports the development of technical textiles and nonwovens. “We hope that through the sharing of guests, discussions and interactions, the participants can gain a deeper understanding of the development status and market application of the nonwovens industry, and establish a close connection through this conference to promote the high-quality development of the industry hand in hand.”

At the meeting, the ‘2024 China Nonwoven Wiping Industry Sustainable Development Report’ was released.
